Hello and Welcome to the February issue of the OkayNowWhat Newsletter!

Winter has settled in across most of the United States and summer seems like a long way off in the distance. For some Teachers, they are just hanging on by their fingernails waiting for the end of the school year so they can finally take those steps to begin the next chapter of their personal and professional lives.

One key insight that Teachers use daily that serves them well in the business world is how to establish expectations and standards for performance. Successful students are aware of what they are required to do to achieve high grades and how performance is measured. Standards are clear and objectives are communicated. However, businesses do not quite use the same terms as educators to describe that interaction. In business, when we seek to have a prospect or customer respond to us, we refer to it as a "call to action" or a CTA. In short, it is when we want the prospect to take a step toward a purchase or commit to doing or providing something that makes a sale more likely.

The issue arises though when a prospect or customer does NOT take those steps because of a mistake by the business owner that is entirely avoidable.
